Potocco
2021

Nature and classical beauty inspired this table, characterized by fluid and refined forms, capable of fitting harmoniously into a wide variety of settings.

The table features a central base composed of 14 shaped solid ash wood elements, which appear togently touch one another, creating an interwoven effect. Resting on this structure is a circular wooden tabletop with a central extension, or alternatively a fixed marble top.

Concept and design considerations

The idea behind this design stems from a study on the rotation of a single element around a circular base. This table is built precisely on that concept: a single shaped flat element, reproduced in 14 components and rotated at a carefully calculated angle, lightly touch each other to create the interwoven effect that gives the table its name. This design approach allowed us to simplify the production of the central leg while maintaining a refined and unexpected visual impact.

This project - the first developed for Potocco - was immediately recognized, winning the Archiproducts Design Award 2021.
